Unrestricted gifts are an engine for prosperity and progress. Unrestricted gifts to the Black Hills Area Community Foundation have been specifically used to provide 143 meals for seniors; purchase life-saving rope rescue equipment; recruit and train volunteers to work with abused and neglected children; sponsor a farm safety fair; renovate an antique log cabin into a Visitors Center; purchase school supplies; and rehabilitate an injured golden eagle. More than 100
 organizations in the Black Hills have received unrestricted grants; and have touched countless lives because of the generosity of others.
