Mark Chapman Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship was created to encourage and assist a student athlete in obtaining a post-secondary education.

Overview:

The scholarship is open to Central High School senior athletes who maintain their grades and show good citizenship on and off the field.

The scholarship provides $500 (one-time). 

Eligibility criteria:

Applicants should be a senior athlete from Central High School.

  • The recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 at the time of selection.
  • The recipient must exhibit good citizenship both on and off the field.
  • The recipient must have plans to attend some form of higher education.

Mark Chapman was a high school sports official and an avid sports enthusiast. The scholarship was created to encourage and assist a student athlete in obtaining a post-secondary education.

The scholarship criteria reflect Mark’s vision for a student athlete. First and foremost, he always felt that academics came first, and athletics was a means of building character for the student.
